The beautiful Gediko slow pitch jig is hand crafted in the Philippines by personal friend and slow pitch jigging expert AQEELAH PALAWAN ANGLER. Both the Resbak and Gediko (please also see the Resbak jig page) are designed to get down super deep, super fast and can carry larger, stronger hooks for bigger species. For use here in the U.K and Norway or for any serious overseas fishing adventure.
The Gediko Jig has a slightly wider and shorter profile to that of the Resbak. All jigs have a extremely high quality foil, paint work and finish! They come with the added attraction of a zebra glow to the underside.
The jigs also come supplied with 2 pairs of HEAVY DUTY #6/0 Assist Hooks, (RRP £7.49) made from a high carbon steel, they’re medium to heavy weight and super sharp. You should rig the jigs with a pair of hooks to the top and the bottom.
Much like the standard JOKER Assist hooks, they’ve a wide gape that’s angled in slightly to improve strength, penetration and hold. They’re chemically sharpened with a rust-resistant coating and double forged for heavy use.
The assist cords are fine but at 500lb test they’re super strong. Each pair of hooks comes rigged with a 304 stainless solid ring, a size #7 130lb split ring. A high strength barrel swivel is also included.
