Description
The JOKER Imp slow pitch jig is short, smooth, punchy and versatile.
It’s a bit wider and shorter than the Slammer jig but it’s still fairly streamline with smooth edges.
This slow jig is easy to use with a mixture of techniques. Use short sharp pitches that flick the jig upwards so it then falls sideways and alternate that with much slower longer lift and falls. This jig is all about the falling flutter so make sure you’re allowing the best of it.
You can fish this slow pitch jig along the bottom and it’s most useful in low wind and less tide situations, however, don’t be scared about jigging it up through the water column using the short sharp pitches, effectively searching the lower depths and up into the fish that maybe higher above the structure.
The Imp slow pitch jig is a great bite sized jig for all predatory fish, especially cod and bass who love the flashy and vibey flutterings. It’s currently it’s available in 80g 100g 120g and 150g weights and 5 killer colour combos.
To see some of it’s recent catches check out the catches gallery HERE!
Also it’s worth checking how the IMP slow pitch jig compares with the rest of the JOKER range at the Jig Comparison page HERE.

Awsome jigs. Always my first jig to try in the candy colour. Absolute bass slayers and have had pollack, mackerel and gurnard on them too.

Great choice for the bass!

The Joker imp is a great jig and is effective with bass and pollock. It is well designed for slow pitch jigging. It is flexible for the different style/techniques of the spj. I find the jig having a high bite rate during long falls.

Great jigs. Get down there quickly and have a really nice fluttering action. Bass and cod really like these…..pollock don’t mind them either!!

I was using the the blue and pink, it was amazing for big wrasse, pollack and bass. Would highly recommend for bass reef and wrecking.

Love the Cotten candy , absolutely killer for the bass in shallow water (30-40ft) with lots of tide . The flutter is really erratic the wrasse seem to like them to !
Matt –
Thanks for the review Chris, yes the IMP is a very good bass jig!

Recently purchased an imp jig in cotton candy to add to the ever increasing jig collection. The finish on the jig certainly looks good, and at a good price point. I can’t wait for a break in the weather to get out and give it a good test, I’m expecting in this colour to be good for the bass, Pollock and dare I say a cod when they’re about. Will certainly be looking to buy more from Matt in the future.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a great review, the IMP is a solid performer so expect tight lines!
Ashley Godwin-Eyles –
Used one from a friend and these lures are lethal for bass.
I will be buying my own supply.

Thanks for the review Ashley, always a good choice for any tackle box!

Fished with joker jigs for about 7 months now ..from Matts charter boat Silver Halo, can’t rate these jigs highly enough.Yesterdays trip on another charter from Brighton and using the Imp jigs (blu/head lime) absolutely smashed a dozen bass (all returned mostly sizeable) ..the catch rate compared to the other 7 anglers on the trip was conclusive ..Joker IMP smashed it out of the park.
The design and testing on the jigs speak for themselves! Thanks.

thanks for the awesome review Colin!
